Kidsgrove Rotary Club Christmas Collection Success PDF Print E-mail

kidsgrove rotary club santa collectionThe Kidsgrove Rotary Club Annual Reindeer Collection this year was a far greater success than initially expected due to the present financial situation that the country finds itself in. A total of £8,483.66p was raised during the month of December from the 19 collections that took place, almost £500 more than the previous year.

The organisations who have benefited immediately from the collection include Kidsgrove Scouts, Newchapel Scouts, Kidsgrove Cricket Club, Kidsgrove Ladsndads, Potteries Paddlers and Kidsgrove Community First Responders. The Rotary Club fully appreciates the help that these organisations have been able to give throughout the campaign, for without their commitment to walk the various routes for 3 to 4 hours a day and night, the fundraising campaign would be virtually impossible to complete.

There are of course many other volunteers to whom we are most grateful, these include The Probus Club of Kidsgrove, Members and Honorary Members of the Rotary Club of Kidsgrove, Partners, Family and Friends, retired Firefighters and Patrons of the Royal Oak (Harriseahead).

Some of the collections have been held at the supermarkets and stores in Kidsgrove, Kidsgrove Rotary Club would like to thank management and staff of Tesco, Aldi and Home Bargains for their hospitality and patience, especially during this hectic period.
